Privacy Policy

Overview

Slumber Drift is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App operates entirely on your device. No data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any server. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.

Data We Access

With your explicit permission, the App reads the following from Apple HealthKit:

  • Sleep duration (total time asleep)
  • Sleep stages — Deep, REM, Core (Apple Watch users)
  • Bedtime and wake time
  • Sleep efficiency

This data is used exclusively to calculate in-game statistics (Stamina, Focus, Creativity, Speed, Luck) and determine weather conditions. It is processed locally and never leaves your device.

Data Storage

All game data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and UserDefaults. This includes:

  • Exploration history and session records
  • Airship state and resource inventory
  • NPC progress and constellation discoveries
  • User settings (sleep goal, wake time)

No data is synced to iCloud or any external service. Deleting the App removes all data permanently.

HealthKit Compliance

The App complies with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

  • Read-only access — the App never writes to HealthKit
  • Health data is never shared with third parties
  • Health data is not used for advertising or marketing
  • Health data is not stored outside the App's sandbox
  • HealthKit access is optional and the App degrades gracefully without it

In-App Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive or store any payment information. Purchase history is managed by the App Store.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. As the App collects no personal data from any user, there is no age-specific data handling required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
